In all historical periods, the life of Samogitians was very different from that of other ethnographers in the regions of Lithuania. To this day, the Samogitians have maintained the strongest ethnic identity in Lithuania. Here we speak in a specific Samogitian dialect, which the locals call a separate language, preserve the ancient customs, traditions, culinary and cultural heritage. All this can be seen and experienced when traveling in the Žemaitija heights region.
