Sculpture "Lithuanian Hound"

Lithuanian hounds have been known since the 14th century, but the breed has mixed with other dog breeds over the centuries and in the 20th century. she has already finished decaying. Telšiškis Zigmantas Goštautas, who worked in the Telšiai Committee for Nature Conservation, in consultation with Viktoras Bergas, a lecturer at the Faculty of Nature of Vilnius University and a well-known cynologist, began the hard work of a breeder in restoring this variety. Zigmantas Goštautas managed to restore this breed, but he did not receive the first show of Lithuanian Hounds, he died in 1980, and the show took place in 1981.
