Sculpture for the Battle of Durbe

The monument is dedicated to the most important Samogitian, 13th-14th century. For the event of the history of Lithuania and the Eastern Baltic - 1260. July 13 the Battle of Durbe, in which the joint army of the Samogitian tribes defeated the very powerful army of Livonia, Prussia, Denmark (Tallinn's crew) and King Charles of Sweden. This unfading victory of Samogitia determined the course of the development of the entire history of the Eastern Baltic countries, significantly influenced the Prussian uprising led by Herkus Mantas, and the liberation of the Semigallians and the Curonians.
